Curated an exhibition that gathered three years of event coverage of the Multimedia & Multiculturalism programme held in 7 major cities across Canada. Funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, implemented by United Nations Association in Canada.

 

Spring 2010 Italy in Blue, Ortona Gallery, Edmonton.

Featured within group show of past and current Ortona studio residents. Handcrafted cyanotype contact prints depict scenes from Northern Italy.

2006-2013 Photochat, Online - shot in Hong Kong and Canada

A blog depicting a photographic conversation between me and artist Jay Proctor which explores the concept that photographs can be used as a form of conversational exchange- a language that transcends linguistic barriers.

Spring 2004 Tajikistan, an introduction, Ortona Gallery, Edmonton.

Images and literature introduce the viewer to the culture of Tajikistan as it was seen by the photographer. Textiles and music from the region featured with 16mm film piece. Works also published/featured on University of Athabasca website.

 

July 2003 Art For Venue, Edmonton- saddlery warehouse, donated by Wayne Stolen Realty.

Contributed to group collection of mixed media. Premise: Quality art does not require a gallery to bring to the masses. My work, C-prints of travel documentary images from Europe.

June 2002 Looking Back, s’-Hertogenbosch, Holland- De Melkfabriek Artspace

Conceptualized, promoted and curated international photo exhibition. Recruited 28 photographers from Buenos Aires, Toronto, Edmonton, NWT, Grande Prairie, 4 Dutch cities, London, Geneva, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Melbourne for collection of self-portraits in photography.

 

July 2001 Impure II, the Second Coming, Edmonton- Citadel Theatre

Later exhibited at Steeps Tea House for month of August, 2001.

As part of group show: my work, “The Blue Cycle”. Photographic installation shot in Greece and underwater. Spherical MDF frames designed by industrial packaging designer, Shaun McNaughton.

 

April 2001 M: the Dance, Edmonton- Ortona Gallery

Conceptualized, produced and promoted first solo photo-based installation. Framing design in corrugate by Shaun McNaughton and 16mm Film and audio work by Tyler Hill. Raised approximately $20,000 in funds and in-kind support.

As part of group show: my work: in 2 collections 1) digital compilations as gel transfers on silver leaf 2) silver prints, copper toned mounted on wood and copper piping.

 

May – July 2000 Metamorphic, Edmonton- Bohemia Cyber Café

Dual show with Marlena Wyman. My work, digital compilations of human and insect images pinned in glass cases to resemble entomologist collection. Explores social fears around genetic modification.
